This module is an add-on feature for McAfee Virus Scan for Windows to help protect the users computer against what is commonly known as spyware.

Please note! There are two different versions of this module; one for those running Virus Scan version 7.x and one for those running Virus Scan version 8.x. Please be sure to check your version before downloading.

If you have recently downloaded and installed virus protection from this site, your installation was pre-configured with this module and you do not need to continue. If you are unsure, 'right-click' on the shield icon in the lower-right hand corner of your screen and select 'About VirusScan...' from the menu. Near the top it will display which version if any of this module you may have installed.

User running Virus Scan 8.x
For users running Virus Scan 8.x there are two files that need to be downloaded. The first is a patch which must be downloaded and installed before attempting to install the anti-spyware module!

Anti-Spyware Module for VirusScan 7.x

Double-click the downloaded AntiSpyware710.exe file to start the installer.
When the first dialogue box appears, simply click 'Next'.
Pleas wait while the installation is completed
When installation is complete, click 'finish'. The program is now installed.
After the installation is complete, you can check to see if the Anti-Spyware Module was installed correctly by right-clicking on the V-shield next to your system clock in your task bar, and selecting 'About VirusScan Enterprise'. Notice it now indicates 'VirusScan Enterprise + Anti-Spyware Module 7.1.0'. This means the Anti-Spyware Module is now installed.

Patch 10 for VirusScan 8.x

Double-click the downloaded VSE80P10.exe file to start the installer.
When the first dialogue box appears, simply click 'Next'.
Pleas wait while the installation is completed
When installation is complete, click 'finish'. The program is now installed.
After the installation is complete, you can check to see if the patch was installed correctly by right-clicking on the V-shield next to your system clock in you task bar, and selecting 'About VirusScan Enterprise'. Notice it now indicates 'Patch Versions: 10'. This means patch 10 is now installed.

Warning: Before installing the Anti-Spyware Module, you must install patch 10 and reboot your computer.

Double-click the downloaded AntiSpyware710.exe file to start the installer.
When the first dialogue box appears, simply click 'Next'.
Pleas wait while the installation is completed
When installation is complete, click 'finish'. The program is now installed.
After the installation is complete, you can check to see if the Anti-Spyware Module was installed correctly by right-clicking on the V-shield next to your system clock in your task bar, and selecting 'About VirusScan Enterprise'. Notice it now indicates 'VirusScan Enterprise + Anti-Spyware Module 8'. This means the Anti-Spyware Module is now installed.
